I think anyone can live comfortable if they "live within our means" anyone can save a percentage of earnings...around 10 percent each month to not touch.Buy what you need and not so much of what you want.It can be hard to stay away from all the hype of the media and keeping up with life and fads.I think anyone can, it is about making the choice to manage money and decide OK..I am going to save for me and my future too as well as pay bills, etc.
such as for clothes I get name brands high dollar clothes at consignments shops..saves me a bundle.I also do that for my kids at children's consignmens stores.Deciding to cut back on spending of little things that in the end add up make a huge difference in savings. Using coupons to eat out when you do. Catch great sales on food, especially meat (for those who do eat meat) and then making those items last by making several dishes with them. It's about being thrifty no matter what it is you make to make a better future with what income you have.Anyone can do it.

$200,000. I could get out of debt, have a very nice house, make good investments, and live comfortably w/vacations until retirement with that. Would be sooooo nice!

Sadly, will probably be living paycheck to paycheck for the next 10 yrs at least.

I AM NOT COMPLAINING!!!
I live in America, the land of the free, I have a decent house now, heat, light, decent vehicle, wonderful family, and good jobs.

I was just answering your question honestly.

If you have to have money in order to have a comfortable life, then something's terribly wrong somewhere.

Well....If let's say you live in Ethiopia....about $3.00 could take you right into retirement, but if you live elsewhere, probably a little more....

Maybe at least a hint of where you live next time?
