How do you find the SSID (network name) of your computer. I think you can use Start, Run, cmd but I can't remember what do to next. THANKS!!

Start, Run, cmd . then type in >>ipconfig then openyou internet explorer... remove everything from da .address bar and type on ur >>deault gateway address then hit go ur in ur router to set up a SSID (network name) and set up a wep or wpa key then hit on apply then put that SSID (network name) and key on ur wirless network .and hit on connect then you are on

SSID is the station ID of your wireless router, not the computer name. You can get it by going to the wireless admin page of your router. If the router broadcasts the SSID, you can also use your wireless connection to search for available networks - it should show up there too.

IPCONFIG /all. An SSID is a service set identifier. The Router has an SSID. Your computer does not.

If you have Windows Xp press (Win)&(Break) and then Computername tab. You will see your computer's name on the network

you can just run a search or look it up on the my computer screen
