how long does ot take to see some results in the stock market ?and what would be a good amount when starting i got some good tips!

You will see results instantly.....they just may not be good results. In general you are buying for the long haul, not overnight success although some play that game. Do some research and ask around. We have had good luck with Lowes and Merck. Not so good luck with Ford. The amount needs to be something you are comfortable with because there is always a chance of a big loss the next day

Money saving expert recommend a few stock brokers who charge very low commission. I have yet to dabble but if you own say £30 worth of shares, you can sometimes get a discount on their services, i.e as a P&O shareholder you may get a discount on ferry crossings, as an example. Althoguth you won't make a lot from the shares.

Have you considered premium bonds?? Usually around 10%interest and 100% safe
