If you mean satellite type, that's $69.00/mth if you buy the equipment ($500.00) or $99.00 per month of you lease it.

First of all, to have wireless internet, you need a high speed connection like DSL or broadband. With that, you need to get a wireless router that you plug the cable for your internet into. If you have a laptop, PSP, PS3, or X- Box 360 with WiFi, then all you need to do is to find the SSID of the router and set up the connection for use with the device. If you have a desktop PC, you'll need to buy a USB reciever. It looks like a thumb drive, but it recieves WiFi signals, which your router gives off. Don't buy a router that has a wide range, only enough for access around your house, as other people can pick up your signal if the router gives off a wide range of WiFi signals. I bought a wireless router, and I wondered why my connection got slow a lot when people would sit on the bench at the corner of the street with their laptops or PSP's. I made a security key, which you can configure, use WEP as opposed to WPA. That way, you can buy a more expensive router if you so wish and whoever can pick up your signal won't be able to use it because they won't know the WEP key.

Well, my rommate and I share her wireles Sony laptop. It's really a wonderful one. She got it from ubid.com.
We purchased a belkin modem and a belkin wireless pc card, so when you at home you can actually share the internet at the same time. than we also purchased a sprint PC card unlimited internet access which cost about $ 65.00 a month. We love it.
Now, I have canceled Qwest DSL cause the prices are so high and since I am almost any time on her lap top, I do not see why I should pay such a high price.

All in all try to compare prices via the internet.
Here is a website that you can compare with. Hope that was of help to you. Happy New Year to you from Utah.

There are a couple of options if you're not referring to satellite.

Many cell phone companies offer a "wireless" broadband service. It can be pricy, but a viable option. Equipment needed is fairly cheap. Check those providers.

The other option is a wireless broadband provider. This varies on location. I have one company here that offers great service and a rate less than cable broadband but more than the telco DSL. Installation is not as easy as an antenna is needed on the roof. Possibly other equipment may be needed too.

You need a tower within range or it is not an option. Assuming you have one, you merely set up your network access with the account and security key. If you already have a wireless card in your PC you can check to see if any networks exist in range. Failing that, Satilite Internet is coming down in price, but is not cheap. It works fine for downloads, not good for RPG and twitch games though due to signal latency for uploads.
