ok, i plan on filing my taxes thru online program such as turbo tax...using my check stubs instead of w2 forms cuz i need money now and the forms will come too late. i have the stub for the job ive been at the last 8 months but what happens if i leave off the stubs from jobs i had early in the year. can i leave them off the tax report then when i get their w2 forms, go back and say "well i forgot about these" and file them separately?

No, you must wait until you have your all your w-2s before you can send it in anyway.

NO. You can't file but one return, if you leave those off, you will get either more or less than what you should. They will catch you because they have a record of everyones W-2 forms before tax season starts. I would wait or find the stubs from those places. The only way to do it now is to find them, or file it wrongly and then file an amendment later to amend the tax return. But beware, if you owe them, you will be heavily penalized. Either way, the income will be accounted for.
Hope this Helps.

While check stubs are good for preliminary planning purposes, I would advise against using them as verification of earnings, especially where you can't account for all earnings.

The IRS will not be amused and probably may not forgive your "forgot"; they like to call it "tax evasion". Even if you did convince them that it was "human error", you could be facing monetary penalties.

I recommend that you wait until you have all the forms, including both W-2s before you file.
