Being rude, even in retaliation for another's rudeness, only reflects you, so think about how you'd like yourself to be reflected not only to others but yourself. If you can live with your choice even 10 years down the road, then do it. If not, it's probably not the right action for you to take.

Also, I have found a lot of times when I just ignore evil people or crappy manners I feel more calm. You just never know what anyone is going through in their lives at any given time. I know that's not an excuse but it sure puts things into perspective for me to think about things that way.

Lying - I am going to go with no on this one even though I know there are good reasons for those little white lies, I have never found any that would suit me enough to lie even a little bit. But, that's why a lot of people are a little turned off sometimes by me, because I will tell the truth no matter what, especially if i am asked for my opinion or have to listen to the endless bitching of certain friends whose men just can't get it together (maybe it's not really his problem?!). I have tact, whereas I know there are times when not to say what is on my mind. But lies are just not cool. They are always revealed somehow...

What is rude to you may just be honesty to others. I think it ALWAYS the best policy to be honest. I think my mom sounds silly when she says, "But the truth doesn't sound "good" ". Like you HAVE to make up a social lie just to make yourself LOOK better(in some way). Truly, I feel so free being kind yet forthright.

I also have to say that SOME (only some) people do not respond to "nice", such as when some people constantly impose themselves on you in some way. I find that a firm no-nonsense NO (with no explanations) works better than the "polite" no with the added smile. I have experienced that explanations only serve as a means for argument.

It is never acceptable to be rude to others, it only demeans you when you are rude. Is it ever okay to lie? I have found, over the years, that life is not always black and white. There are times when it is better not to tell the whole truth. But, you must never take advantage of others by doing so, life is not as easy as many of us think.

No, unless you are protecting somebody from harm, howver it is never "okay" to be rude to someone. Oh and for those of you who think, his name is "Jesus Freak and here he is telling someone it is okay to lie." While it is what I am doing, I know that God can use the sin for His PERFECT WILL! So no it isn't ok to lie, but if you slip up, God will use it and He will forgive you.

Rudeness is never okay. Lying is okay if it's a "white lie" where you're trying to preserve someone else's feelings.

For me it is not okay to lie but white lies is okay for the sake of... like protecting yourself from evil doing. It's not okay to be rude neither to anyone... do not do bad things to other or it will back fire to you.

the only time it's okay is if they're rude to you. maybe it's okay to tell a white lie but a big lie that could hurt people is degrading

it's not nice to be rude but sometimes we are because some people take advantage of others and the only way to make people understand where you coming from you gotta show your mean side. you know how the saying goes honesty is the best policy, that is true. i think you should always be honest but it can be bad to be blunt, you know what i'm saying? because no one likes a loud obnoxious person.

I think you shouldn't be rude to anyone unless they deserve it. I always try to be nice even after someone is rude to me, but there is only so much a person can take. I think it is alright to lie if you are trying not to hurt someones feelings. Example, a persons new hair cut is the worst, but it would really hurt them if you said, "oh my god that's ugly" ....................................

There is a line that someone has 2 cross b4 you should be rude. However this line cannot be measured and some people have shorter tempers than others.
