i always fed my girls however much they would take without getting overly full and throwing it back up i would watch how much they would take at each feeding before they started playing with the bottle but some babies are like fish they'll eat till the explode my first one tried i think my littlest girl was taking four ounces at 6 weeks and was very content with that as they continue to get older they can decide alittle better on what makes they full good luck
by the way to the guy that says you should still be breastfeeding, not everyone can breast feed for up to six weeks, either because of mother or child so what do you do then not feed them at all? if youre not breastfeeding you can buy formula that is close to breastmilk granted its not as good but what are your other options?

The doctor told us that he should stay at about 4 oz / bottle until 8 weeks, but he was always still hungry so we fed him about how many weeks old he was so at 6 weeks were feeding him 6 oz/ bottle. We did this until week 7 then he stayed there for a long time.

As much as he/she wants. Babies are very capable of telling you when they are hungry and when they are full. I've actually seen parents underfeed their baby thinking that they were doing the child a favor. Your baby should be drinking at least 4-6 ounces at every feeding, and I am sure he/she tells you when he/she is hungry! Listen to your baby, every child is different. Your doctor should be able to guide you as well. Keep a log of when your baby last ate and how much and take this with you each time you go to the doctor. Not having much sleep will keep you from remembering how much your baby is actually eating and it will also help anyone else know if your baby is hungry (if anyone is helping you)

6 weeks old? You shouldn't really feed a newborn infant formula. You should be breast feeding still. There are really important enzymes and antibodies in your breast milk that are very important to the child especially this early in their development. Not only that formula has a tendancy to cause constipation which is not healthy for a newborn child to have. If you have no choice but to feed your child formula than get a formula that is all natural. Similac and enfimil and all that other junk is exactly that, junk

As much as baby wants but as a rule it is usually one scoop of formula to each ounce of boiled but cooled water. Most people these days do 'feed-on-demand' so don't worry. Just give baby formula whenever you feel it is wanted and if your wrong don't worry about it, just try again later! xxGood Luckxx

i used to feed my son about 4-6 oz every 3-4 hours. he wil not be shy about letting u know when he is hungry, the trick is like u said how much u should feed him. i would try 6 oz and see how he feels. its a trial and error thing. if u feed him 4 oz and an hour later he is hungry u know next time he needs 6 oz.

As much as they will eat. A baby will only eat when they are hungry. For the first 4 months, the need to eat AT LEAST every 4 hours to keep their blood sugar up.

every baby is different and by now you should know your baby by now 4-6 oz is normal but, every baby is different just go by guidelines on the formula, make up 6oz's and take it from there, see how much baby takes there is no right or wrong

2 scoops for every 2 ounces of water every two hours. also right before you feed its always best to do a diaper change right before so as not to interupt feeding. They tend to get pretty upset and dont forget to burp.

About 2 - 4 ounces every 3 or 4 hours.
Don't worry about how much they eat. They will let you know when to stop.
Remember that their stomach is about the size of their fist.....Not big!!
