I have lived in Jamaica all my life and its a beautiful country. We do however have a few obstacles to overcome such as crime and unemployment among other things. As soon as we accomplish those things then there can be no other country that is even comparable to us because we are sitting on a little piece of paradise and we don't even know it.

I've spend total 3 months in Jamaica, been around whole island from Negril to Kingston. Dying to go back :-) My only tip will be don't stress over little things that can go wrong, just look, listen and learn, and enjoy yourself :-)

I would go with someone who knows the island. The reason why is because being that I have no family there, it would be good to have a native showing me the hottest places to go to, and to the hottest bashments as well. Even though I will admit that I am a bit scared to go there due to high crime (particular parts), I would rather feel more comfortable with someone who knows their way around.

No, I wasnt fond of it except for Dunn River Falls as its awesome and pretty, and I just didnt like the whole factor of getting back to your cruise ship and or hotel as going through flea markets are a pain and I saw this owner of a shop grab this little girl and try to drag her into his shop just to get the parents in their to buy something so I wasnt thrilled with this happening right in front of me and the island jsut iddnt seem to interest me but other then that it was an okay experience.

Well i've been there tons of times and its the absolute BEST. Don't listen to the negative rumours... go and see for yourself. The island is beautiful with tons of spectacular activities and the people are just as wonderful.

I've been and did not like it at all! I have never had to eat Chicken every day for 2 weeks before, and never will again. Also it was very expensive,we went All Inclusive and still spent a grand. Beware.

I have, and it is beautiful. I would LOVE to go again.

If you haven't visited Jamaica, you ought to go if you get the opportunity to. If you have visited, wasn't it a fun and beautiful place!?
