Steve Howe is the ultimate guitar player. He can play ALL styles of guitar music better than most anyone else can play one style.

Of course, he is also the ugliest human in the world. I swear he was the model for Gollum in the LOTR movies! Check it out some time!

Of course any musician will tell you, as well as, any knucklehead that thoroughly followed 70's rock, that Steve Howe is a far superior guitarist to Joe Perry. There's really no comparison in the "chops" department. Howe can easily play anything Perry has ever played while sleeping. Joe Perry would not even comprehend how to play most of the stuff Steve Howe laid down on those Yes records.

With that said, I must give credit where credit is due.........Joe Perry has come up with many more monster guitar riffs that are far more memorable than anything Steve Howe has ever created, with the exception of the "Roundabout" intro (no...sorry Yes fans, the Owner of a Lonely Hearts intro was played by Trevor Rabin). Besides "Walk this Way" & "Sweet Emotion", Joe's come up with some great riffs that has and will stand the test of time...."Love in an Elevator", "Back in the Saddle", "Same Old", etc.

Wanna know the truth about rock guitar players? Steve Lukather blows 'em all away!
