Your Uterus (womb) where the baby grows and develops is a pelvic organ until 12 weeks when it starts becoming an abdominal organ also. That is, it starts emerging above the top of your pelvis around this time. As a rule of thumb the top of your Uterus (called the fundus) grows about 1cm a week. So for instance at around 16 weeks it will be half way between your pelvis and tummy button (umbilicus). This is about the time that women start to feel a bump. By feeling your tummy your Doctor or Midwife should be able to give you a reasonable answer. This is all assuming you do not have twins or greater. Ultrasound scans are very accurate at dating pregnancies at this point.

Congratulations! Make an appointment as soon as possible with an OB-GYN and start taking prenatal vitamins TODAY!

The OB can do an ultrasound to help determine gestational age, but the earlier in the pregnancy this is done, the more accurate it is. So try to have one done ASAP! Plus, regular, early prenatal care usually results in healthier baby and healthier pregnancy/mom.

Most women see a bump at month 4 or 5 for their first pregnancy, and sooner for their second and other pregnancies. So you might be four months along.

PS (by the way, the term is "how far ALONG" you are, not how far "gone.") ;-)

You really need to have a scan to get your pregnancy dated!!
I didn't start to show until I was about 19 weeks, but I could see a small bump much earlier than that. It depends a lot on how thin you were to start with. It's not really an accurate way of knowing how far along you are.

It's different for every person, although the more kids you have, the quicker your bump will start to show! I know a lady who had a huge, huge bump and it was solid! We all placed bets that she would have a least a 9lb baby, the baby weighed 6lb! I had quite a small bump, i expected about a 7lb baby, and he was 9lb! However this time (3rd baby) i'm already showing at 12 weeks, I guess you'd be about 3or 4 months! Congrats!

every person is diverse, yet on elementary a females will start up showing approximately her fifteenth week. yet in specific circumstances it might desire to be later. If a females is skinny she might word her abdomen pudging out until now others, and a heavier females won't not often teach until later. Im obese and that i'm commencing off to coach to myself because of the fact my abdomen is greater, yet to every person else it probalby sounds like I extremely have gained 10-15 pounds even even with the shown fact that I nevertheless have not gained any weight. With 2 toddlers she will start up showing until now like at 12wk or so. and each females useful factors weight diverse to. some might %. on forty-50 pounds mutually as others purely benefit 15-20 and then there are some females (commonly obese females), that don't benefit any or extremely drop pounds throughout being pregnant. and a few females start up gaining weight suited away, mutually as others do not until their 2d or third trisemester. It relies upon on the guy and how there physique is reacting to the being pregnant. ANd if it is your first baby you could start up showing somewhat later. ANd with a 2d baby you will teach until now than the 1st. besides the undeniable fact that it extremely relies upon on the ladies.

It depends on SOO many things. Is this your first pregnancy? Usually with your first, you won't show til the 4th or 5th month. For subsequent pregnancies you show earlier. Are you tall and thin? Do you have a long torso? Those factors can make you show later as well. Ask your mom/sisters/aunts when they started showing. Good Luck!
