In older cartoons, whenever someone runs into a pan or a wall, etc, they always seem to leave an imprint in the solid rigid object and, while they knock themselves silly, they are generally not permanently damaged (much less imprinted with a flat face from hitting the metal object, despite the fact that flesh is much more maliable than steel, iron, or brick).

spongebob squarepants breaks a lot of the laws of physics. they have campfires underwater, swim in lakes under the sea, pour drinks and lots of other amusing things that cannot happen. i love that show! i'm so glad i have a 3 year old daughter to provide me with a good excuse to watch it.

I always enjoyed the seeming creation of portable pocket dimentions by drawing a door on a wall with a pencil.
... It had to be the pencil. I've not found one yet.
