Hi, I have a question about a Sims 2 game that I got off Ebay. Unfortunately, when I got it the game was the Thailand version, which I was unaware of until after I had bid on and purchased the game. The game is unplayable because the whole thing is in Thai and I cannot understand a thing! I cannot get through the installation. So i was wondering if there is any type of cd that would convert it into English or any thing to do during installation?

PLEASE HELP.

Unfortunately in the case of games like Sims2, each CD is it's own language. Sometimes developers release multi-lingual versions which, during installation, the user can select which language they prefer to be installed. This is usually the case in desktop software and simpler games.
On the other hand, graphics-intensive software such as Sims2 are usually released in different versions having a separate CD for each language. To put multi-lingual versions on the same CD would be impossible (or impractical) because of the space it takes up. (think of each menu in the game as a graphics file. On the CD, one file for english, another for thai, another for german, etc).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like you're going to have to take your losses on this one. As long as the eBay seller noted on his/her page that it WAS the Thai version, he/she made a fair transaction. They probably won't want to go through the hassle of returning your money just because of an oversight on your part, although it couldn't hurt to ask. Otherwise, you could buy the english version and try to sell your Thai version and hope that you can break even.
