Ask around, first. There's no magical all-fix store. First, get it checked by a person in the store, and then, if the person says he or she can fix it, trust them. Not everyone will know, so just check around. I have an ipod, and I believe that it will be amazingly complex inside, so I suggest to try and find someone who can fix it.

Take your ipod to a local electronic specialties store, preferably Apple because they are the makers of the ipod (you can find that store usually in a mall). Check in the yellow pages or www.yellowpages.com . You may want to try an electronice specialties store such as Radio Shack or Best Buy. If you know an electronic store that does not fix ipods, ask them for one that does, because they are usually informed of other electronic stores.

My i-pod suddenly stopped working too, the apple store is the only store that can fix them and they do it for free, just find an apple store near you and they will help you.
