this is sad, but i have CD's by ABBA, and Ozzy Osbourne. my taste varies from classical to heavy metal to oldies - I like all kinds of music and have recently started getting into hiphop and some rap

Why not? And why limit yourself to the Classical period when you've got the Baroque, Impressionist, etc to draw on. And why not plop on some Jazz while you sip that cup of coffee? And on a slow summer day, why not put on a little Nine Inch Nails when you get bored of listening to Billy Holiday?

It's just music.

Actually death metal and classical music aren't extremely different. Glen Danzig from the band Danzig also writes opera.
I like all forms of "extreme" music.

Yes. I listen to some good heavy metal, or death metal, all the way to the slow mushy love songs. My roots are in rock and roll, but I appreciate all kinds.

Probably the most eclectic genre I listen to is Electronica. I also love movies scores and have a collection of over 50! I listen to almost anything, from AFI Goth rock to Frank Sinatra. But I HATE country.

I love classical music and rock music. I prefer classical, but I love old school rock n roll, like Jerry Lee lewis.

I love almost all types of music. I will listen to country for a while, then turn to rock, and even listen to rap. Any music that has a good beat to it...I like....except opera..
