Intake gasket failure is a definate possibility. The head gasket may also be the culprit, but the question states that there is oil in the gas, not the reverse. A failure in the intake manifold - gasket, or valve/cam failure - seems a likely candidate.

A certain amount of raw fuel finds it's way past the rings, especially in vehicles overdue for a tune up.

If your carb is overloading (do you mean flooding out)? then a LOT of gas is getting past the rings.

If you don't change oil very often, gas in the oil is common in older cars.

If it's gas in the crankcase oil, it's probably the head gasket.

If it has a mechanical fuel pump, it may have a ruptured diaphram thats leaking gas into the crankcase :(

Do not jump to conclusions.....I need more information about it.
it is not a gasket...
to me that sound more like EGR valve stuck open. or PCV pouring oil in the intake.

I would check the fuel pump. It can leak into the crankcase.
