It depends on the color of the skirt but you should wear a plain top like if the skirt is red with green lines/stripes maybe try a green top and if that's not looking good try a red shirt

Definitely some other kind of plaid, preferrably one involving no colors which are in the skirt fabric.

It depends what color the plaid is.
But. dont go with anything to crazy because it will clash.
Try a solid and neutral color.. Ex- Black, White, Gray
Again.. depends on the color.. but always stay solid && plain is good too.

A plain, solid colored top. You don't want to have too much pattern, otherwise people will go cross-eyed when they try to look at you.
