Hi, kk. First get it ascertained whether you are eligible to appear for the examination. Please try to follow these measures:
1. Get the previous ten years' question papers, if possible, with answers.
2. Collect the textbooks of VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standard textbooks as per latest syllabus published by the NCERT.
3. Read the above textbooks and standard textbooks on the subjects you have chosen as optional subjects.
4. Maintain the method of study that is adaptable for you regularly.
5. Attempt the question papers of previous years giving importance to timing, at the end of every week.
6. Have a thorough knowledge about current affairs and scientific developments.
7. Once in a while, try to have a discussion with your study mates on topics of burning issues.
8. Maintain the health of your body and mind by taking healthy and nutritious food regularly, doing physical exercises and concentrating your mind on meditation.
9. Get developing a positive frame of mind by ignoring any sort of negative criticisms that you may receive.
10.Keep your mind cool and calm on the day of the examination. Don't get your mind involved in too much reading and discussing prior to the entry into the examination hall

just go to an ias coaching center and also read comperhension refersher book and gk and maorama yearbook 2007
