You're right that does seem like a pretty big loophole. I mean, just because a serial rapist/murder decides before he's put in the chair/chamber/gurney that Jesus died for what he did, that's ok? Ok, so Jesus died for all sins, great and small. Is it still on the books that being born is a sin? Original Sin. As in, you are born FROM sin and therefore are doomed to damnation from birth? Seems kinda harsh to put on a kid that just popped out, though I guess that's why the church invented Limbo so that they didn't go to Hell right off the bat. What about eating red meat on a Friday? That was originally because the fish traders were complaining about the butchers getting all the bonus so the church helped out by making it a sin to eat beef on Friday.

what prominent tv celebrities advertise methods of getting yourself into debt and what products are they endorsing? For the most part, the only tv celebrities advertising, are celebrities talking about ProActive and I don't think that that product is so expensive that people go into debt for it.

No, one should be allowed to advertise these loan and credit card companies on TV especially. They cause people to get into debt and ruin their lives. If you can`t afford it, don`t buy it until you can!

Well ultimately it's their decision but if I was a prominent TV personality I wouldn't do it. I really like Carol Vorderman but I was a bit disappointed to see her fronting such ads. I believe she should be more responsible. Unfortunately, as many people admire Carol for her personality and intelligence; they trust her, and are going to be more likely to sign up for these things.

Ethics in Hollywood are pretty much nil. Even Alex Trebek whored himself out for an insurance ad. Sad day for me.

There's nothing to stop them, I guess they get huge amounts of cash whilst losing huge amounts of respect.
