A day wrapped in a spakling cloak of Champagne,
My bubble of memories.
Safe inside will be my magical day with you,
Your laughter, my tears, our hopelessness.
This day I will treasure for always.

And when the heartache gets too much
It will be there for me to hold and to remember how lucky I was..
If I never see you again, I will always have this
And no one can take it from me,
It is with me forever, suspended in time
My wonderful champagne bubble and it's sparkling memories of you...

I wrote this in 1987 after spending a day with someone who I loved deeply - but he was not free.

Well its not my cup of tea, but if it helps you express yourself keep it up, poetry can be anything you want. I find it hard to read other people poetry, because I'm never sure how its supposed to flow, I like to hear people reading their poetry out so I can hear the inflections in their voice.
