Calidad cartridge (chip won't stick)?

Question

Im trying to replace my empty printer ink cartridge with a generic "calidad" ink cartridge, Im suppose to take the small computer chip off the original ink cartridge and put it on the generic ink cartridge, The problem is IT WON'T STICK!, It just fall's off!!!!, I't's lined up correctly, it just doesn't have sufficiant adhesive?, Please advise????? p.s. (my printer is a pixma 500)

I assume the new cartridge came with instruction... these should have shown how to use extra GLUE the chip it onto the replacement Cart.
