I did a double major: one in Anthropology (Archaeology focus) [Behavioral Science] and one in History (British focus) [Arts & Humanities]. I was able to complete both at the same time without having to go any extra semesters. A lot will depend on what the areas are and if there is any overlap as well as how hard you are willing to work for the degrees.

It depends on the two majors. Sometimes the requirements for one degree can cover as electives for the other, or toward general graduation. Some schools let you design your own double major, to cut down on the time needed. The more general classes you can get out of the way in High School (like with AP or College Credit classes) the shorter the time will be.

I'd count on 5 years for a double major (unrelated subjects) to be safe.

Depends on your resources, of course. If you study two degrees simultaneously and are good at it - why, two won't necessarily take any longer than one. But then again, if you do first one and then another - could take 15 years. Like me.

it depends on what the two different areas are, and how many credits the two have in common.
