Oh wow. Looks like you're gonna get a lot of angry answers for this one. Anywho, I am pro-choice and have read up on it before. I ended up having my bambino, but nonetheless...
There are two methods to abort the baby; medication and suction. The suction method vaccums out the contents of your uterus (the unborn baby) and the medication is taken over two or three days and makes your body miscarry the embryo/fetus. The sooner you have the procedure, the cheaper it is and the less complicated it is. You can only have the medicated abortion if you are under 8 weeks. There are some more detailed websites you can access as well.
I've known people that have had healthy children after having an abortion. Do what is best for you. Good luck on your decision.

Consequences are carrying the guilt. Very slim chances of any physical complications.
I have had two, i went in (you need a driver)they have you fill out proper paperwork, they evaluate you to make sure they think you are in the right state of mind to make this kind of decision and that you are sure this is what you want. Then they take you into the room and give you an ultrasound to get an idea of how far along you are. They then give you an IV which will numb you or put you completely asleep (depending on what you choose) i would suggest being sedated so you don't remember a thing or feel a thing. You then will leave but probably be so out of it, you won't remember leaving, and you'll spot or bleed for a couple days and have some light cramping, then you go get a check up a week or two later and should be fine.
this is not something i would suggest doing, if you're pregnant please consider all other options. I made this mistake twice and would take it back if i could. But good luck.

I knew some women who took the abortion pill called cytotec. It is availabe at planned parenthood. You can get it if you are 9 weeks pregnant and under.
The pill you take it at home and insert it wet into your vagina in the privacy of your own home. You bleed for several days to 2 weeks and end up miscarrying the fetus and you can see what it looks like too. Then you have to make a follow up appointment so they can check if your miscarriage is complete.
If you are over 10 weeks, then the best method would be surgical abortion.
The pregnancy ends immediately. I had a surgical abortion because I was too late for the abortion pill. The abortion was because I had health problems.
In my experience, when I had the surgical abortion, they didn't numb me. I felt everything. They inserted some long instrument inside of me. I was screaming of pain because it was very excruitiating for 5 minutes. Then they vacuumed everything out. But it was quick and it ended.
To locate a planned parenthood in your area, go to------> http://www.plannedparenthood.com
Planned Parenthood does not make you have abortions, they just counsel you and leave it up to you to decide what you want to do-abortion,adoption or prenatal care. They do abortions up till the 14th week of pregnancy. Planned parenthood as an all female staff so it makes you more comfortable.
Please email me if you want to talk or have any questions.

I also will tell you I apologize for all the rude answers you're going to get. This is a personal choice, and I know that you didn't ask for opinions... I can't help much because I don't know a whole lot about the actual procedures, however I do know that there is one option where you can insert a pill up next to your cervix and it will cause you to miscarry, that is probably the "easiest" method, it will be like a very heavy period.

My mother had three abortions when she was much younger. I know it has been the biggest mistake she has ever done, and since she has been depressed. I do not think it is a wise choice to make from seeing my mother and how upset she is from almost 30 years ago.

First off the upmost procedure and consequence is the fact of killing a human being.....then they vaccum them out and scrape your uterus.... This could affect you having any future children...And like I told a friend of mine that had 3 abortions, and then a miscarriage at 4 months after she got married,........GOD gives and GOD takes away. This is something that you will live with for the rest of your life. It's not just what happens now, it's a life long ordeal....Have you thought of any other options. An abortion is not a method of birth control...........

i've never had one because i don't believe in them neither of my girls were planned but it wasn't their fault so i had them you make your bed you lie in it instead of taking the easier way out ANYWAYS an old friend of mine had one and i was told it is very painful they basically stick a vaccuum up in you and suck the baby out (depending on how far along you are) as for consequences, you get to live the rest of your life knowing you murdered and innocent child.
