I'm really sorry if this is a dissapointment..But there's no end to this game. Just like the wonderfully addictive Gamecube version, this is a game where you simply have your character live as you see fit. Design new clothes. Make friends. Redecorate your house. It defies many typical game concepts of winning and losing and having separate levels. It's more of a leisurely paced woodland version of The Sims. It can really be a lot of fun if you go into with that mindset. Have fun!

After I finished working for Tom Nook, I just started collecting things to sell to him so that I could pay off my morgage to him. Once you've paid that off, he'll upgrade your house, and you have a new morgage to worry about. But you'll have more room. There are only two upgrades to your house, but I'm not. Ever time you pay off your morage, Tom upgrades his store. (There are three upgrades from his orginal shop, and when he's upgrading, he's closed.)
Just about anything can be sold to Tom: shells, fruit, flowers, etc. The stuff that gets you the most money --thus far that I've found, anyway-- are the Gyroids and the fossils. But before you go and sell the fossils you find, go to the musuem and have the owl idenitfiy it for you. If he doesn't have it, donate it to the museum. If he gives it back, sell it to Tom. You can get big bucks for it; about 8000 bells.
Don't forget to check the Recycle Bin at City Hall for stuff.
And here's a trick: Take one shovel and bury it in the ground with another shovel. Wait a full day, and dig up the shovel you buried. You'll have a GOLD SHOVEL! Other golden stuff:
Golden Fishing Rod: Catch every type of fish once.
Golden Bug Net: Catch every type of bug once.
Golden Slingshot: Shoot 15 items out of the sky, then you get it if you shoot it down.
Golden Watering Can: Keep the enviroment perfect for 14 days in a row. Pelly or Phyllis will reward you with the golden can.
Golden Axe: Trade a scallop seashell to Pascal for the golden axe.
Walk around and shake trees that have no fruit growing on them. They may drop money bags. (100 Bells). But be carefull; some may have bee hives. You get stung, and your little guy shows it, but other than that, he's unharmed. (If you step in a hole that you're suppose to dig up, you'll fall in. You'll be stunned, but unharmed, and you lose whatever you could have dug up.)
There is also a rock that has money bags. Attack the rocks with a shovel. When you find the rock, keep hitting it until it stops giving moneybags. (100, 200, and sometimes 400 Bells). You can do this once a day.
There is a walkthrough you can get that helps a lot. I forgot where it was, though. Just make a search for Animal Crossing: Wild World Cheats. You'll find it.

You just go and have fun with the game. You could go fishing, bug catching, shooting down things, making snowmen(only during winter when it snows). You could also start by trying to pay off your mortgage. gradually as you pay it you'll get a mansion!
You could also help some other animals in your town if they need your help. Also you can never win the game It never ends! (*-*)

After you're done working for Tom Nook, just do whatever you want.
Yeah, the other animals sometimes ask you to do jobs for them, like, deliver mail and items to the other animals. They reward you with items and sometimes money.
