Milk snakes and king snakes both belong to the genus lampropeltis, and corn snakes belong to the genus elaphe along with rat snakes. Corns have semi keeled scales while milks and kings have smooth scales. Most milks are tri colored while common kings are only bi colored. Milks and kings also have a smaller head than corns. All I know is that king snakes can get pretty big. We had one in my dads barn. It would eat the rats in the barn. IT would help our cat out. Never once did was the cat or the snake scared of each other. The horses wasnt scared of the snake either. IT just minded its own business and ate rats. It got to be a huge snake. As fom my experience king snakes are very laid back and not that aggressive
