In reference to snakes, fangs are curved, hollow or grooved teeth designed to transfer venom into whatever is bitten. So fanged snakes are venomous.

Milk snakes may mimic venomous snakes in color, but they are not venomous and do not have fangs. However, they do have numerous smaller recurved teeth.

A bite from a snake isn't exceptionally painful, since most snakes have razor-sharp teeth. Larger snakes, like pythons can leave wounds that may bleed a lot but the pain is usually from the blow and not so much from the cut. Smaller snakes either don't penetrate the skin or graze the skin, although some may draw blood. These wounds are considerably less painful than from a cat, dog, or hamster.

Milk snakes are very tolerable of excessive stress and are very reluctant to bite. However, any snake owner must always keep in mind that a snake isn't just capable of biting, but sooner or later it will bite. It might be once in its lifetime or numerous times. Luckily most bites can be avoided by learning how to approach the snake without scaring it, keeping hands clean so that the scent of food isn't on the hands, and avoiding fast movements while the snake is being held.

Congratulations on your new baby! Oh, by the way, juvenile snakes are typically "what's on the menu" in the wild, so they are naturally nippy. They'll grow out of this as they get bigger and are handled more often.

If they can open there mouth they can bite any snake can bite you but, milksnakes are known to be pretty friendly, and they do have teeth, but of course they aren't venomous and yes a bite will hurt but not extemely bad. Just wondering how do you expect to feed a snake that cant bite. lol

All snakes can bite. All snakes have teeth (except for the egg-eating snake). However, only venomous snakes have fangs.

The baby milk can certainly bite your son, but it's nothing to be concerned about.
