"Goatee,’ the name of a small pointed or tufted beard, is a word of American origin, derived, as you may have guessed, from the resemblance of this kind of beard to the beard of a he-goat. The first attested use of ‘goatee’ is from 1844, although the wearing of the style of beard seems to have been considered something of an eccentricity at the time. The current resurgence in the popularity of the goatee is more reminiscent of the beatnik style of the 1950s than of the fashion of the 19th century. "

I think the partial beard very much resembles the goats beard and that may be reason people started calling goatee.

Yes, basically that is where the word originated. The goatee came to a point and was taken from the word, "goaty."
Alteration of goaty, from GOAT (from its resemblance to a goat's beard).]
After the 21st century styles began to change.

That's what I've always thought. So if someone's named Billy and has a goatee, is it Billy's goatee? Or Billy's billygoatee? *giggle*
Yep it's definitely Friday.

Because drinking goat milk makes a person--man or woman--grow facial hair, typically in the form of a goatee.

Yup. And most men look raggy in my opinion with those things. I prefer a close-cut sculpted thing on a guy.
