Week 8

Fetal Development: An ultrasound done at this stage should show a fluttering heartbeat. Elbows begin to form in the arms and fingers start to develop. The leg buds begin to show feet with tiny notches for the toes. The face continues to change as the ears, eyes and the tip of the nose appear. The intestines start to form in the umbilical cord. Teeth develop under the gums.

EDIT: At the moment of conception, your baby's gender is determined thanks to the sex chromosomes in the father's sperm. If you don't like the gender of your baby, blame dad.

They flunked Biology class. Anybody that stayed awake and paid attention knows that at conception, the 2 seperate DNA strands link to form a new unique DNA sequence that identifies the new human. The new human lives inside the mother's body, yet it's body is seperate and unique and identifiable by DNA. This new DNA sequence that identifies the life form as human will never change from that moment until the moment it dies.

Why can't people get over their religious zealotry and recognize that science proves life begins at conception?

It's not, its called makinig a personal decision that every women has the right to make. Do you want to live in a country where as a women you cannot make up your own when the matter concerns your body? If abortion is outlawed are you going to be standing in line ready to adopt all of the unwanted babies? Or will you just convientently blame liberals for not adopting babies they didn't want in the first place?

Why is it so hard to understand that not everybody agrees with you? You could view a life as beginning at conception, at any point of brain development, or upon the baby's autonomy.

That's why it's none of the government's business.
