as crazy as this sounds .....toilette bowl cleaner....pour it on as if it were the toilette bowl and let it sit for 15 min. then rinse with warm water if staines are stuborrn reapply and let sit for 5 min then (wearing rubber gloves) use a regular sponge that has a scrubbie backing lightly scrub the area then rinse with warm water. if this does not work yopu will need to either deal with it or replace the tub

OK, well I had moved into this apartment with a nasty toilet. Ulh! It had a yellow ring around the water. I tried every solution liquids to remove it. Nothing worked. I went to Walmart cause I needed dish sponges, and next to them their was a bath or toilet scrubber it said it removes stains, scum... Anyhow I don't have the wrapper anymore so I cant give you a name. It worked like a miracle! It looks like a foot scrubber with a soft yellow sponge on top. The rock dissolves as you scrub. But it really works. I didn't even have to scrub hard. I had tried almost everything, from toilet brush scrubbers to bleach. Oh! I know a toilet is not vinyl, but I don't think the rock is the kind to scratch vinyl, like I said it dissolves as it cleans. If your not afraid, try it. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!

use backing hammer backing soda
sprinkle it into the bath tub.
than purchase a bottle of lemon juice
close up the whole from the tub so it won't run down the drain.
sprinkle all the lemon juice into the bath tub.
Let it sit for a while. Than rub with the sponge. It really works. I have done it in the past. Good luck. If not
use

That cleaner you see advertised on TV, CLR really does work. I have 3 rental properties and always use it when cleaning after a renter leaves. You can get it most anywhere, grocery stores, hardware stores, Walmart. Good Luck.

Bleach might be too harsh.
Try either Oxyclean, Softscrub with bleach or the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

The Mr. Clean Magic eraser is the best cleaning product on the market! I clean my tub with it all of the time and if that doesn't work try Limeaway or CLR they are both great cleaners too

Fill the tub up as far as you can with water and a gallon of bleach. Use the hottest water you can and let it sit overnight. Little effort and it works.

as mentioned, toilet bowl cleaner does the trick.....as long as the yellow guck isn't the result of stinky tenants with weird, funky bodily secretions....in that case, u don't really want to reuse that tub anyways.....replace it!
