reference to the crusades by the president bush, the fact he's an evangelist and that the reference to god is always present in the USA...

no birdsnake it isn't right reference to god is not "the base " everywhere, spirituality takes other form, atheism is spirituality, agnosticism etc...and i fight against the reference of god which is (i think) an intelectual disaster. i unfortunately know what is an evangelist, i saw their agressivity an irrespectuous mind enough in latin america...

Very much so. Bush refers to God a lot, prays, and claims he is doing as God wants. How is this excessive religion in government any different than the excessive religion in government in the Middle East? Some people say that Christianity is more 'moral' than Islam, but they are conveniently forgetting the immoral actions of Christians all throughout history.

Certainly more than Britain is. Politicians never mention god over here, voters would think they're off their rockers and liable to do any crazy thing in the name of their beliefs.

Also, trying to undermine teaching of evolution and trying to bring creationism into the classroom, not good.

Still I have faith that the sensible people of the US will keep things from going too far.

References to God are made when advantageous. God has been legislated out of the schools, but still plays a big role in Republican politics. I don't understand....

No, Poki, this is free country. Maybe there is a lot of religion here but it's not mandated by law and one doesn't have to participate in it if he/she so wishes. We have many religions here not like Iran where you can only safely belong to one.
