I am considering getting an iMac that is also a PC. HELP

I have removed the spyware & other junk. I also got a new anti-virus. I think Norton is part of the problem. It would take about 10 min. to boot because of Norton.

I have to have access to a Mac (bookkeeping & Photoshop) but I'm a PC person. That the reason for the dual system.

Just looking for suggestions for type of machine, memory, processor, etc.. I know I want a 24 inch screen.

Is it running slower nd slower?

Booting up taking longer?

On another computer that my kids use, I use a few programs to help out and do not cost anything.

One is crap cleaner, gets rid of excess files and the sorts.

Also AdAware, that gets rid of spam.

These can be used in junction with other software that you may have.

Might want to edit your start up as well so not everything will start up if youre not going to be using it, like an adobe suite bar or something else.

start -> run -> type: msconfig, then you can see how many excessive programs are loading up when you start up windows.

This should help you out for a while...

Also, if you want to go to a Mac, hae you thought about making you Windoze system a dual-boot with linux? Food for thought...

I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems.
Some RAM/ hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful
