That's a no brainer. The Detroit Tigers. It's been since 1984 since they were any good but with the best pitching staff in the major leagues , no doubt, the new slugger Gary Sheffield...plus the current fielders, next seaon gonna be a heck of a season. Plus, what's he at , twleve? gold gloves for pudge. It'll be good.

going in on paper Yankees, Red sox, Detroit, Mets, Dodgers, Phils..in that order i think...but its on paper and that doesnt go very far.
and Eric below... Schilling started going backwards and showing his age last year.. yer studs Should be Matsuzaka, and Beckett(if he can wake up and Matsuzaka lives up to the hype that is).. But beyond Becket and Matsuzaka, Boston has Questionmarks, Just like the yankees, who Passed Pettite, Wang and Mussina its a crap shoot. the Team with the best pitching in i think either league is Detroit.. but as good as they were, i wanna see em do it again before i say they are the team, thats only reason i put Boston and NY ahead of Detroit, because Theyve both been there done that aand i think its a safe bet the NY and Boston will sit at top of AL.

Reds! new pitching and better bullpen, better prospects, and better general manager. The owner of the team really cares.
