Certainly not. Being German myself, I store my surplus of sauerkraut under the sink alongside my hair styling products.

Not only odd, but dangerous to your health. Storing open or exposed food items in the bathroom could cause fecal or other bacterial contamination of the food which could cause one to develop Hepatitis B. Chances are slimmer than transmission by not washing hands properly, etc, but the chance is definitely there.

Yes, I've never seen anyone store food in the bathroom. Let me plant a little seed in your mind. Whenever you smell something, it's not just this magical odor floating around. It's actually little, microscopic peices of whatever you are smelling floating up your nose. When you pump gas, and you smell gasoline, that's actually little molecules of gasoline going into your nose. When you smell paint, that's actually little pieces of paint that are physically going up your nose.
So, when you are in the bathroom, and you smell the awful smell of, well, you know what, that's actually little peices of you know what floating up your nose. I don't know about you, but I don't want food laying around with that stuff in the air! I don't care if it's in a wrapper, box, or what. It's gross and noone should be made to eat food that was stored in a bathroom!

Uh, yes it is, unless you have like extremely limited space and it is stuff that is boxed up, or stuff that would go in the bathroom anyway, like shampoo and toilet paper, but i don't think that that stuff counts as dry goods. i think that this would be and is weird, or at least i would be weirded out if i saw food and groceries in the bathroom. Ewwww, the more i think about it, the nastier it seems!

Depends on where your storing them in the bathroom. If it's in a linen closet that has a door, I don't think it's that bad but why would you put food in the bathroom in the first place?

It's really not hygienic, there's no way I would want to eat food after it had been stored in someone's bathroom.

It's like this. If I lived in an apartment or something with limited storage and there was a linen closet or such in there, sure! I'd do it. I would put canned goods and boxed stuff in there, out of site, please.

I would think twice about storing fresh fruit in there though....think about it.....

Limited space is a factor. As long as there is no swollen red rice and beans ready to explode anywhere but in the crapper, what's the prob?
