My wife and I are helping out a young boy that was injured in a farm accident. He enjoys the outdoors so our goal is to create a sustainable wildlife area for him to enjoy on his parents property. The types of trees we are looking for are mostly fast growing. Examples; poplar, silver maple, white oak, douglas fir, honey locust, sweet sumac, hazelnut, mountain ash or others that would benifit wildlife. We live in Manitowoc County, WI. Can anybody help us out?

I'm not in WI, and don't have any cuttings, but highly recommend the website that's linked below. They have lots of different trees available for virtually nothing. They basically just cover their costs with the sales price, but it's a great organization. They save nursery trees from becoming "garbage", and employ people who would otherwise have a hard time finding jobs.

You may need to wait for the right season to get a shipment from them, but their inventory changes based on what's available, so keep checking back. Thornless Honey Locust is available to reserve now!

Thanks for being involved in your community! It's people like you who make this world such a great place to be!
