You seem to be able to ask a lucid question, maybe you are afraid to speak in public due to anxiety about being wrong.Trust me when I say we are all wrong at some point. It doesn't mean you are dumb.So go ahead and hold your hand up and do your best.

Talk to your teacher. Talk to your counselor. Talk to your parents. Between all of you, someone should have some ideas on how to get your grades up. While I do recommend participating more in class & not drawing pictures - it should not be the deciding factor in your grade. How are your test scores? Home work assignments? Have you done any papers?

You're going to have to really apply yourself and not blame the teacher for everything. Take some responsibility for your education and get to work. I know you're not doing as much as you could, because your drawing pictures in class - at the very least you could be paying attention and taking notes on what the other people are saying.

Practice participation with your parents and friends. Get a tutor to help you over the hard parts. Give a speech to yourself in the mirror. Apply yourself or you won't be getting into college.

Good Luck!

If you can really write you will pass English. Should be easier with computer , with spelling help ect,, A good thesis at the beginning, support it in the text of the paper and then a great ending as that is what the teacher reads last. Maybe you are LD and need a little extra help. Maybe you are still thinking about the last question when the teacher is asking the next. Many reasons and you need to talk to guidance and maybe even be tested. I think you think there might be something wrong with your ability to learn and you need to get it checked out.

Think of the questions that your teacher asks like verbal essay questions. Maybe that will help.
