Actually I will give some words:

Forrest Gump was "Fiction" and if it was written in 1982 well it goes no further unless the author wants to do a sequel.

That would be interesting.

I did not look anything up but I recall the author was "Winston Groom"?

He was an infantry officer in Vietnam with the 1st Cavalry Division. I was there so I remember.

Wrote a Vietnam war book that I think four people besides me read?

I wonder what Mister Gump would have done next?

Interesting and a "good" question.

He would have been for civil rights, been very anti-war, and such for social change and help, a
leg up" assist for all.

1. He would have helped President Reagan end communism!
2. He would have gotten the Israelis and folks in Palestine together
3. He would, as did the actor, work to fight AIDS
5. he would make sure that the mentally challenged got "equal" rights and options for a independent life

Much more, the folks just missed how good your question was.

If I were a teacher, showed the movie, I would ask this for my students.

My thanks,

Something to ponder, reflect upon and think about.

What would he have done?

It is like the "classic" academic, film and such question:

If you could only take three books into a new worlds, what three books would you take?

Priceless!

Go for it!
