Im from Somalia and my father is on an assassination list in Somalia b/c of his plans to mobilize legitimate non-corrupt secular groups in Somalia. The people in power there have no desire to help anyone but themselves. Any intellectual who thinks differently is killed or booted out of the country. The horn of Africa will not get out of this "tribe" mentality which is the source of A LOT of strife. I don't know if we will ever get peace. I'm optimistic though, I have to be.

No never heard the horn blowing but had similar experience, can't go into it now or get a violation!! I know what would have told them today as feeling fragile :))

Africa is a very big place and a lots of the places there are very model you would be surprise but if you watch television you will see all kind of terrible thing in that region
