he is gone forever, missed by fanslike me, but no one talks about his music anymore. If he could have still alive, he will eat the new Gallagher clowns like a snack.

Shadows Play (song written by Rory Gallagher)
Well, In the half-light, on this mad night,
I hear a voice in time.
Well, I look back, see a half-smile,
Then it's gone from sight.
Tell me, why everyone have changed,
In this shadow play, this shadow play,
I have to find my way,
In this shadow play.

Sounds come crashing,
And I hear laughing,
All those lights just blaze away.
I feel a little strange inside,
A little Dr. Jekyll, a little Mr. Hyde.
Yeah.........

Thoughts run wild, free as a child,
Into the night.
Across the screen a thin beam,
Of magic light.

Tell me why things don't look the same,
In this shadow play, this shadow play,
I have to find my way,
In this shadow play.
I have to get away,
In this shadow play,
Well help me find my way,
In this shadow play

Rory would blow the other two stupid Gallagher Britpop off the stage and leave them in their opened baggy trousers.

Ace guitarist Rory.
Saw him 4 times in concert.
1973-4 Performing (Playing just a few feet in front of us. No seats.) in a large pub in Croydon, not far from the Fairfeild hall.
Saw him play at the old Rainbow theatre, London.
At the Marquee Wardour st, London.
The last time I saw him in concert was around 1994,
where he had to leave the stage after only a few numbers. (A story in itself).
But! There was nothing quite like watching Rory playing live, who would play with a rocking raw sound. Great stuff.
I've only recently sold off my old Rory ticket stubs on eBay.
Talking of tickets. Was queueing for tickets (can't remember for which band. Greenslade I think.) outside the Marquee Wardour St, when out from the Marquee, walks our Rory.
Just to correct a earlier answer, I think you'll find Rory died of an infection obtained after the liver transplant.
....Ahh.. 'What's Going On ?'

I'm not a loyal fan, but I saw him open for Rush on their "Signals" tour and he was great. After that I bought a couple albums which were okay, but I thought he was better live. A shame he died so young.

He will be sorely missed.

Probably one of the greatest guitarists ever. I was listening to him earlier, and watching his DVD last night.
