Long time marriage here -
Had an affair - no
Fantasized and considered - yes

I would NEVER follow through as I believe affairs are selfish self centered behaviour and destroy people.

Nope. I see no point in being married if I were to consider or fantasize about having an affair. The last thing I want to do is hurt the person I love.

No, no and no. I have had so many tragedies in my life, that I have learned not to let the little things bother me, and not to expect life to be exactly as I imagine it in lofty dreams. Having this attitude, when things in my marriage on the "worse" end of my marriage vows, I accept that and know that things will change as they always do in life and it won't last long. I also have confidence in myself that I will be fine no matter how things go. Having this attitude, and a strong sense of love for people in general (I do not do anything that would hurt others), having an affair does not even come on to my radar. It actually confuses me how the option even comes up for some people. Desperation? Insecurity? No belief in one's self? Why would you want to taint your life with the bad energy that comes with doing something so horrible to your spouse? I just don't get it.

During my first marriage, we both cheated. It was hurtful for both & the end result - I did say first marriage right? The man I'm married to now, I wouldn't even cosider messing around on. I think once you feel true commitment, you know where you want to be. Besides I think cheating is a deliberate hurt. I would'nt want to ever cause that to the person that loves me & trusts me.

My ex-lady did, and even after I had begged her that if such a thing would ever happen, to let me known in advance and the hole pain of finding out would've been reduced to a minimum; trust me, it destroyed my life and consequently my son lost his father,it's been a couple years now, but the consequences still haunts me :(
Trust me, There's nothing better than honesty !

In 18 years of marriage, I never considered an affair - too bad my ex did. It killed our marriage and devastated me.

Nope. I adore and respect my boyfriend - I would never even dream of hurting him like that.

I can't image the heartache if someone did that to me. It would devistate me and I would never be able to trust them again. It would be the end of our relationship.

Plus I know how good I got it - ain't no way I'd risk loosing him or letting some other girl have him!!!!

I considered it after finding my ex with my bf but ultimately i am not the kind of person and it wouldnt have changed my heartache or really affected him. I stayed true to my beliefs and left him to his.
