After having a misscarriage or abortion, the chances of getting pregnant are VERY likely. I had an abortion this past may, and became pregnant two weeks later. :( Long story made short..yes!!!!!!!!

It depends on your physical health, and the reasons behind the miscarriage. My sister in law had a miscarriage last week and her doctor told her she didn't have to wait at all. While a friend of mine was told she needed to wait at least 3 months. Typically a woman can ovulate within about 21 days after delivering a full term baby, and the same usually applies to miscarriage as well. You should probably talk to your doctor to be sure, and safe. Most women go on to have a perfectly normal, full term pregnancy with a healthy baby after miscarriage.

it is very possibly to get pregnant after a miscarriage depending on your cyle but your hormones are alot higher after a miscarriage or pregnancy, however, you should be aware that unless you had a D&C some of the cells can simply attach themselves, this happened to my sister everything was showing that she was pregnant but it wasn't a baby just cells attaching themsleves to her body. it was not possible for her to continue thoughout the pregnancy- which ended up being twice the devastation in a little over a month.

Don't doctors tell you to wait 6 weeks after a pregnancy, whether to term or not?

If you ovulate you can. But your next period after the miscarriage could just be late.

Yup, that's why it's not recommended to get pregnant that early. You have to be emotionally and physically prepared first. Let yourself heal and then get pregnant.
