Im not being racist but its crazy because we have blacks discrimnating on their on race and I find it hard to beleive that the ones who are wealthy are the ones who look down on on us the most.Im not saying that we're the only race that gets discriminated as I just think that it is wrong in general.

I have several black friends that are professionals. They are outcasts from their race. I volunteered with 2 of them to help out downtown they were called Uncle Toms and Oreos.
They told me it has always been like that and I can see why they might get an attitude toward those people who make fun of them. They worked hard to get where they are and how does that make them wrong? I will say they push hard to help any black in our organization trying to make it or applying for a job. I have seen these guys really put their necks out there to help people.
When I helped out in a poor white neighborhood nobody called me a sell out. When they found out I grew up poor they asked me how I made it.
There is some real difference how different races perceive the same thing.

everything needs to be left in the past. Jews and african americans and wiccans and asians and so much more. Some do use their race or religion as an excuse, now a days its becoming more of a wealth issue as well, everyone wants to think they are better than someone else. It is in human nature and everybody is racist toward one group or another no matter what it is. peace between races and religions will only stop when there are no longer people on planet earth and has always been around... For crying out loud back in the time when slavery first started in america there were african americans selling there own race and in WW2 there were jewish people joining hitler's army in order to not get killed.

Because people who are not African Americans fall back on habits that are millions of years old, like blaming the one who is different.
Different people often were a threat to the in group, so it was easy to blame everything on the "other person." That way one can escape the need to seriously address the problem, like the scarcity of food.
The ancient times, the one outside the city walls were always called "the barbarians." This made it easy to point out that they are different, so it is not our fault, it is their fault.
Of course, African Americans continue to look different and act different and can not do otherwise. So the simple minded may always go back to that difference.
The Europeans have resolved a lot of that racist discrimination and hopefully America will also. I hope and think that it will someday be only a small number of people who remember these days of torment.

interesting question. i think the whole discrimination issue has swung the other way in recent year.....with many companies and government agencies "forced" to hire people that may or may not be qualified just because of the color of their skin....I think in general it's crazy......whatever happened to simply employing people who can do the job ? Currently Caucasian males are the ones feeling the brunt of it....next year it will be a different demographic......in general discrimination based on appearance is ridiculous and needs to stop.

It is very wrong. Part of this comes from the time of American slavery. Part from warring factions from the Motherland, when different communities of people invaded and conquered other communities and took people as servants and slaves. I know others can add to this.

It is truly wrong. There was a time that our people worked together, or so it seemed. Not sure what happened.

It is wrong. But other races get discriminated against, too (esp on this site!!) It's just ignorance and the best thing to do is ignore it and let them continue to hate themselves.

To the extent it happens it's wrong, but I assure you that you can become wildly successful in spite of this. I know, because I have black friends and acquaintances who have done it.
