More on the queston of throwing yeast down your sewage holding tank. How often can you do this?

Someone just ask the question can you throw yeast down your holding tank? How often can you do this? We have a cabin and we are emptied once a month. Will it help?

If it is emptied once a month you are waisting your time with the yeast thing

Adding yeast will increase the amount of bacteria in the tank, wich will hep in the breakdown of the solids.

how come emptied so often? seems like cheaper to get larger tank
