I have a sweater I put in the wash, with a new pair of blue pants. The dye ran on to my sweater, and didn't notice till after I took out of the dryer, how do I get the dye out of my sweater?

I've never had any accomplishment for removing stains AFTER the garmet has been dried. But Maybe call a Dry Cleaner and ask them if they can do something. ~Good Luck~

The company that makes rit dye used to have a product that was located with their dyes in stores that you just put into your washing machine with the article of clothing and it would suck out the excess color that it got from the fading of another clothes item. I used it a lot but haven't needed it for awhile (got my hubby to STOP doing laundry) and it worked great. It did fade some colors but not bad enough to make me stop using it like it might fade a little out of a red pair of pants but it was still better than the blue from where wrangler jeans had bled all over the pants.

not sure if you can get the dye that has already been set out...but to avoid it in the future you can use those sheets out there that you put in the wash to attract excess dye in the wash to it instead of your clothes.
