The main requirement is SPACE. Oscars are very, very big fish, and they live a long time. Make sure that you can provide at the very, very least, a 60 gallon aquarium per fish. 75 gallon is better and 100 gallons is ideal.

Their water requirements are basic. They are highly adaptabled, but a pH between 6.5 and 7 is ideal, moderately soft. Temp should ve 76-78F.

Oscars are very gluttonous fish and will eat anything you offer, but they should be fed a wide variety of quality foods, as they are susceptible to malnutrition. Feed a staple diet of cichlid pellets, supplements with earthworms, shrimp, feeder fish, beef heart, etc.

I have an Oscar fish i feed him Oscar food pelets.
Or i feed him feeding gold fish that are like 13 for a $1
Oscar fish grow to be huge.
Mine is very big.

spoil him. BLOOD WORMS ROSIE AND THEN GOLD FISH. feed in that order the smaller the fish the smaller the food feed as they grow. Tank will need to be one that has room for him to grow. as he grows so should the tank you keep him in. they do awesomely in a 150 gal. tank
