Go to any churches and tend a few sermons and ask if the pastor might want to help you to raise the funds to do what your heart is telling you to do........ Oh, any Pentecostal or Foursquare churches, are always helping people to raise money for these sorts of things, I know because I tend one... and you'd be Surprised how much people are willing to help, in anyway they can.... But you have to tend and get to know a few of the Usher's and the Pastor & his wife, you know...... It would be more "Polite" that way.. Good-Luck, to you, ........I have always felt the need to be a Misionary, but I think I'll wait until my kids are grown, to travel and do charity work.. My goal is to help feed the children of America, first, then help other countries...... I already do send my tithes into Feed The Children of America..... I feel, as American's we should try to take care of our own Country, first, then help other countries later, you know. That's just my own personal feelings about the good old USA!! But, if your feeling like helping other countries, right on to you, this is a Wonderful Act of kindness , on your part......And God, will reward you , for your good deeds one way or another!! He will bless you, trust me on this!! Smile!!!

unless you have a genuine skill, that sort of defeats the purpose.
my brother is off to Africa to do some charity work but has had to fund it all himself as well as quit his well paid job.

Peace corps and sometimes churches will pay for you to minister abroad but if you're being paid then you're not really volunteering.
