All cultures have a creation myth.

The Taoists talk of the Tao that was in the void, and reached self awareness; and created yin and yang from lonliness. and through the interactions of yin and yang; the physical universe was created.

The Navaho tells of starting underground and following ants through tunnels to the surface.

the Hawai'ians have the creation chant the kumulipo.

the Cherokee has two creation myths, One of the daughter of the Great Spirit falling into the sea, and the animals helping her by bringing a bit of the soil from the bottom of the ocean, then placing the dirt on a turtle back, and blessing the dirt, and it spread to cover the back of the turtle, and they still call the U.S. turtle island.

The other myth was began by author Dhyanni Ywahoo in "Voices of our ancestors" tells the Cherokee were brought here from the pleiadees. I hold Ms. Ywahoos writings in very little regard because of a few things she tells (such as Cherokee had a written language while the europeans were still living in caves. The Cherokee did NOT have a written language UNTIL sequoia invented it in the 19th century, and she talks about Cherokees seeing Dragons in the Smokey Mountains up until 100 years ago.
