If the bodice of the gown is very fitted, have the seamstress sew some cups into it. that way it will give you a little shaping and you won't have "pokies". :) Or you can have a strapless bra actually sewn into the dress. If you need a little lift, consider the Braza brand stick on bra. It's basically a big fabric bandaid that sticks right to you. You can position the sides up higher to give you a lift. I've worn these before in the summer, dancing all night and they stayed on perfectly (c cup). They give you just enough coverage so there is no "pokie" show thru and as I said, you can adjust the lift by adhearing the side up higher. If you can get away with one of these two things instead of a bra or corset, I would. A corset, in order to really give you any support has to have boning in it. That can be uncomfortable with all the bending over to talk to people at the reception. The strapless bra is an option but unless it's really tight, you'll spend all day pulling it up. In the end, you want to be comfortable that day. Wear whatever you can put on and NOT think about.

They do work, meaning they stay up. My problem with them is the elastic band they use to stick to your skin irritates my skin after a while. I would say try wearing one but not for a long time,,, either do this or use a corsett type bra.

Nope. not to me. even if you have the right size it still feels like you might as well have gone bra-less.
