The hurt depends on your pain tolerance. When the needle pierces it the cartilage is being broken and the hollow needle is cleaning it out so that you don't end up with a mass of cartilage and skin that could get infected. Any trauma should hurt a little bit at some point, only natural. The ones that I have didn't hurt to get pierced but the trauma to the skin after hurt once the swellling and adrenaline started wearing off. It will be tender but hold in there, should only last for a few days and then you'll just have to clean it real well and be careful not to catch it on your clothes or hair. Good luck.

I don't know if the normal catilage peircing hurts but my Industrial cartilage piercing certainly did. That one takes for ever to heal... here is a pic of someone else's, I dont have one of my own.

The piercing part doesn't hurt hardly at all, it's the after wards part that is uncomfortable. It takes like 12 weeks for it to heal, but even after that, if you bump it, it hurts like crazy, and you have to eventually take the earring out to sleep, because if you lay on that side, where the earring is, it just hurts all night, eventually it will start being more comfortable, but it takes awhile. That is what happened to me anyways.

Meh, that's as a lot as you. regardless of you do, do not do it your self, there are rumors that in case you bypass through a nerve, you may paralyze your face. you also shouldn't use a gun to do it, the rigidity of result might want to reason the vibrations to rupture your eardrum, through actual undeniable truth that your cartilage is amazingly, VERY gentle and comfortable.

It only hurts for a minute or so. You'll be ok. But be sure to take really good care of it because it takes forever to heal all the way.

Yes but only for the 3 seconds it takes the needle to go through it, then after that it is fine. No worries.

It depends on your pain tolerance. It only hurts while it being done and when you press something against it such as.. a phone or laying your head on something

Are you referring to your ear or your nose? If you mean ear, it only hurts for a few seconds, and when you go to turn it when you clean it. If you mean your nose, I have no clue.
