This would be a "cash advance"... which will come at a high cost. You should only use this option if you have no other way of borrowing money. If your master card company sent you any checks in the mail... you can simply write them out to yourself, usually these checks also have more favorable APY then a direct "cash advance". If you have no choice, go to your bank and tell them you want a "cash advance" from your mastercard... they will "charge" your account and you will be on your way.

you can contact your credit card company about a cash advance. the fees with cash advances are so high I wouldn't recommend it, but if the money is available and you need it, it's an option. you can definitely pull money at an atm, but there is a lot to know about doing that. for instance, when you go to pay that money back, you will pay back lower interest rate purchases before paying the higher interest rate of the cash advance. many times your credit card will send you checks in the mail, that is so you can use the money on your credit card like cash, as in you can write yourself a check and cash it, or write your dad a check and cash it or anyone or any company that accepts checks and maybe doesn't accept credit card payments. again, check the fees!
