The degree of racism is in direct correlation to intelligence. The more racist you are, the stupider you are. I'm just sorry you have to deal with that level of stupidity.

People are ignorant when it comes to things they dont understand or arent fully educated about. Me being mixed myself i understand how you feel and where your coming from. Those kids cant help it. Theyre parents were ignorant and they grew up in the household being taught by complete and utter ignorance allowing them to be no other way but ignorant. When they call you an immigrant tell them look its the milleniem not the 1920s go educate yourself. If it continues to the point of harrassment take it to the school principal because no one should have to put up with that.

They are probably afriad of the changes that happen in our world. I know it can be hard to deal with those who do that, but understand that they are irrogant and ignorant and will never except anyone for who they really are inside. I'm black and I went to an all white school last year and some of those kids never talked to me other than to put me down for my skin. I realized that they are the one's with the problem, not me. I love who i am, and no one can ever make me change because they want me to. So don't listen to them. You have a proud heritage and you can tell them that you don't care about what they say.

(sorry I'm ranting so much. It just is sad to know that people still ARE racist) I hope this answers your question better.

It is truly a sad day when "immigrant" becomes a derogatory term... Kids (I'm assuming you're high-school age) tend to believe what their parents believe in matters of race, religion and politics, unless they've been strongly influenced by outside forces. Anti-Hispanic (especially Mexican) sentiment has been high in the US, as I'm sure everyone who lives here is aware. What people tend to forget is that with the exception of Native Americans EVERY AMERICAN IS DESCENDED FROM IMMIGRANTS. Come to think of it, the Native Americans came over from Asia originally, so they're immigrants as well.

I think it has to do with how a person was raised. I was raised in a very diverse atmosphere, so I get along with everyone. I know people who weren't raised to like another race and they have so much hate inside of them. It's really sad because there are still people teaching hate to their kids and grandkids. How is everyone suppose to get past this if racism is still going on?!? I wish people didn't put you down because of something you have no control over. Have a good day. I hope everything gets better for you. ;)

yea i feel you, i am black but people say and think i am bi-racial, i am also not the stereotypical black person so i am seen as acting white my name is sarah, so that is seen as white too, i get good grades and can speak proper english so that is seen as white, i am also tall and skinny, most black gurls are thick and have big butts, and i also go with a white boy, so i am pretty much seen as not being a black gurl. it sucks, peoples race is determined by there genes not by how they act.

but i love me, and those bitches are jealous cuz they cant be me.

u need to forget them no matter what people are gonna always have something to say u cant please them all!!!!!!! tell them that u were born here, so how can u be an immigrant, and if u are a immigrant then so is everyone else!!!!

As a "mix" myself (MEXICAN&WHITE and Gay) I feel your pain and the struggle we go through sweetheart -Some people are just unhappy with their own lives that they have to find someone else to pick on or make fun of so that they can feel better about themselves--Especially now with our race being vilified by the media--Keep your head up girl -hopefully knowledge will shine right through ignorance as time goes by..

It's ignorance.

Ignorance is not always a bad thing, because it means you just don't know about the subject. A person can be acting a fool because he/she just hasn't been informed and doesn't know.

Stupid means that you do know about the subject and still insist on acting a fool.

racism is usually fed by fear of the unknown or in otherwords...ignorance (lack of knowledge). once a "racist" person takes the time to learn about another culture and not be brainwashed and blindside by what they were taught new worlds can open. only problem is not many people are willing to let down their guard and learn

You would think as far as we have come since the invention of the wheel that everyone would get over the racial thing. I really think that it is learned. It is so unfortunate that we are still instilling this in our kids. I am so sorry that people don't see you for who you really area and call you names. It is their loss!!
