There is a condition that results in a prolonged erection. However, this condition I guess can also be induced by erectile dysfunction medication. Are there that many men out there with this problem it justifies advertising? I doubt it. In both cases it will require medical treatment. It can be very painful.
The drug companies are playing on men's minds with the disclaimer... "A FOUR HOUR HARD-ON! SIGN ME UP!" They are obviously implying a man will have an erection for a very long time after taking these drugs.
Just like that restless leg syndrome. How many people do you know (if any) with this problem? RSD could easily be the result of mad cow decease!
There's so much to the fact our diets and exercise play an important role in our health. The drug companies would rather us take a pill instead of eat right and ex cerise. There's no real money to be made in someone exercising at home of cutting back on the garbage we consume.
Everyone step back and look at the advertising of medications. I think you will agree with me.

Dude - do you want to walk around with a rock hard cock for 4 hours? I assume it is because after a while an erection can become painful. I gather you never had blue balls.

Because a group of doctors decided that 4 hours was the threshold. It probably signifies there is a problem after 2 hours, but men won't go to the doc for something like this until they absolutely HAVE to, face it. So the doctors said "Well, I could put up with it for 4 hours, but after that, I'll go nuts".
Or maybe, after 4 hours, your brain becomes so deprived of blood that you start hallucinating?

If you keep an erection to long it is very painful and can cause permanent damage to the penis if not treat by a dr.

its a problem if you want to be, if you and your partner are into it and having some wild crazy s*x, there is no problem. but if it hurts you, the it is, go to the hospital if that happens!
